In Chattanooga, landscape supply yards usually price bulk material by the cubic yard and charge a delivery fee by distance, so measure the area first: one cubic yard of mulch covers about 100 square feet at three inches deep. Across Tennessee, small-engine repair shops get backed up in early spring, so service mowers over the winter. Many yards and feed stores close earlier on weekends. Check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating, and call ahead to confirm stock and delivery days.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 amβ4 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (423) 870-2838. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is aquanooga.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Chattanooga is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chattanooga follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Went to the Grand opening since it is under new management (Fitz Fish Ponds Chattanooga). I was more interested in pond plants, but those are still a couple weeks away. They did have beautiful koi fish. I have 3 koi already so wasn't interested. They also have comets and shabunkins. Plenty of pond supplies too. Great place to shop especially if you are starting or waiting a pond.

Very helpful connecting us with someone to build a pond for us. They would have walked me through thw build process if I had wanted. Good variety of pond fish that we bought today.

This is a great place to buy koi. They have many different ponds outside with lots of different varieties of water plants. Beautiful! Then they have tanks inside and they are huge with healthy looking fish ranging from small to xlarge. Prices are great for everyone in mind... $16 and up to well over my budget. I don't remember the man's name that helped us, but he was very nice and super knowledgeable. It was fun getting to pick out which fish I wanted. And the man knew exactly which ones I pointed to. You could tell he knew what he was doing. I purchased 2 butterfly koi, one traditional koi, and a water lily. A month later, my lily is thriving, and all fish were doing fine until a huge storm knocked down my waterfall, causing half the pond to drain. While I was gone, my husband innocently and unknowingly filled it back up with city water that we don't drink because it smells like chlorine. Sadly, my pretty grey sparkly koi did not survive. But.. the two butterfly koi survived and are doing great. They've grown so much! Next spring, we will definitely be back for more koi and plants.
